He's not declaring anything. That's the point. It is what it is, that's basically his message.
So what the #3(( difference does it make what the LDS Church's position is on it? Why did Hatch have to make the usual "disclaimer"?
Considering Hatch used to visit Flora's church as a child, to play piano for the FLDS, I would imagine there is more to his "position" than meets the eye.
