Nice Relocation Package

Flora and I have just returned to the Dallas area for a well deserved break from the road, after nine days. We covered Dallas, Burleson, Plano, Tyler, Abilene, Midland, Lubbock, Amarillo and today Denton. We are pooped!

Next stop is Houston on the 20th and then 6 more Texas cities before we hit San Angelo for the last signing and then the picnic.

Since leaving Dallas we have been thrilled to have so many people who were touched by events at the YFZ stop in to see us and visit. We have visited one group children's home/ranch, to visit with the staff.

Foster parents who cared for the YFZ children, Texas Rangers, CASA volunteers, Shelter staff and CPS staff have all come in to see us. They are all very deeply concerned about the evidence of abuses they had each witnessed in the children, and still do not understand the state's decision to return the children.

Some of these stories have been, quite literally, heartbreaking. One foster family, which took in 12 of the children, said 10 of the 12 were bed wetters and three of the boys were unable to control their bowels through a whole night...an almost certain indication of damage to their rectums.

One 13 year old girl, they were still uncertain if she is already a mother, because they could not locate a child for her, but there is medical evidence she's had one.

And get this, a five year old boy given a full body scan, revealed a total of 19 different bone breaks on that baby's body.

Notice the foster family only thought 2 of the children ages 4-13 might NOT have been sexually molested yet?

Now why in the HELL should Texas give those children back to perpetrators like THAT?

We're mad as hell and we aren't going to take this down here.
That's not what anyone I know wants for Texas children.

Can you please identify your state representatives, and contact them, personally, about this issue? And also call Harvey Hildebran's office to voice strong support for the AAAP's efforts to protect Texas women and children from polygamy?

We will also be posting an online petition, calling Texas citizens to add their names to the list of people who are gravely concerned about the protection of the human, civil and natural born rights to freedom, guaranteed by the constitution, to Texas and U.S. citizens, including its children.

We have every reason to believe that representatives from the Federal government personally threatened employees of Texas CPS, Shelter Workers, and Hot line personnel. We know CPS and shelter workers were confronted by FBI Special Agents, John W. Broadway, and Rick Fagan, and told to shut up and quit talking to the Texas Rangers about anything the children said.

Since when is it appropriate for the feds to come down here to Texas and tell us WE have no RIGHT to protect Texas children?

Why has it NOT been made known to the Texas people that virtually 100% of the population on that ranch were still receiving welfare benefits from Arizona and Utah? AND, that those states have NO plans to prosecute these people for fraud.

Of course if you won't prosecute people for abandoning their children on the sides of the roads up there, by the HUNDREDS, why would you prosecute them for defrauding the taxpayers either?

Better yet, since not one prosecution is planned, perhaps Arizona and Utah were simply funding the FLDS's relocation to Texas for them to begin with.

Since both states seem to have such an excess of money that they can afford to be funding the expansion of a criminal organization to our state, perhaps they should foot the bill for our raid to try to protect Texas citizens from it.

Every entity that truly tried to protect these children has been threatened, shut up, and shut down. The Texas Rangers and local Texas CPS and Shelter staff tried like Hell, only to have Austin step in, throw them under the bus and then throw the children under the bus too.

Things that make you go....Hmmmmm.

  1. What a total screw up and tradgedy!!! I know what an uphill battle this has become. But please remember in Texas you have thousands of people behind you and Flora's work.
CPS let the children of Flds down, as did the Governor and legislators. Im ashamed that these agencies have left children in abusive homes.
I have written the governor, legislators of Texas and Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson, who assured me Texas will NOT let this ride.
Good Luck and my prayers are with you both as you contine your journey across the state.

  2. Thanks Harley,

The support of regular Texas citizens means everything to us.

We're going to make sure that every candidate running for governor states their position clearly and strongly on polygamy in Texas.

Although most Texans aren't thinking about this issue, the FLDS is the second large polygamist cult to call Texas "home".

The House of Yaweh cult outside of Abeline is also under investigation for sex crimes against children.

    Imagine that.

Are we going to become known as the next safe haven for polygamists after Utah and Arizona? Or are we going to put our foot down and say "Not here in Texas"!

We want big criminal penalties for people who break the laws against polygamy in our state.

    BIG, like TEXAS BIG.

We are either going to be a Concubine state for women, or a free state for women.

    Choose now.

  3. 10 Reasons for Polygamy:

You are living in a big family with your best friends always around, and a lot of support for your life style from other adults.

You have a lot of children around, your own and those of your sister wives.

The work in house and garden is distributed evenly amongst the adults of the family.

You, as a part of the family, can live self sufficiently on the family's own land, and so can your children.

You are well protected in bad times, and in good company at all times.

You can home school your children together with other children of the household.

You will not have to go to a nursery home when you are old, but will be well cared for all the days of your life.

You can eat wholesome food that the family grew itself.

You can stay home with your children and don't have to sell yourself to an employer.

Your children have plenty of other children to grow up with, who are all raised according to the same standard.

Boots, there are many blogs by polygamist women seeking sister wives. If they can convince you of their desire to have a sister wife, then would you be ok with it? At least on a case by case basis?
Since you are so strongly in favor of Women's Freedom, how could you deny a woman the right to share her husband with a sister wife? Why would you deny a woman her freedom to make such choices about her personal relationships?

  4. 1. You are living in a big family with your best friends always around, and a lot of support for your life style from other adults.

Response: Criminals who support each other are generally considered to be "organized criminals".

    2. You have a lot of children around, your own and those of your sister wives.

Response: Yes, the crime does seem to lead to a lot of innocent children being produced but there is no such thing as a "sister wife", only concubines.

    3. The work in house and garden is distributed evenly amongst the adults of the family.

Response: Funny, according to the former concubines I have interviewed, not one would stand behind any such ridiculous assertion. Some concubines simply become slaves to the favored concubines, and are assigned much more work than others. Interesting they all come out, not hating men, but women!

    4. You, as a part of the family, can live self sufficiently on the family's own land, and so can your children.

Response: Self sufficiant, huh? That must be why they get $8 back in government assistance and services for every $1 they pay in taxes in Mohave County, Arizona.

    5. You are well protected in bad times, and in good company at all times.

Response: Like the 5 year old sent back to these monsters was "well protected" while he lived with them? 19 identifiable bone breaks in his 5 year old body? That sort of protection and good company?

    6. You can home school your children together with other children of the household.

Response: Single parents and monogamous parents can home school children, without breaking the law, too.

    7. You will not have to go to a nursery home when you are old, but will be well cared for all the days of your life.

Response: LOL! Is this the same "nursery home" the old farts in the FLDS Priesthood go to get their child brides and little boys to bugger?

    8. You can eat wholesome food that the family grew itself.

Response: I know plenty of monogamous and single parent households who have gardens.

    9. You can stay home with your children and don't have to sell yourself to an employer.

Response: You mean you can stay home and collect welfare benefits from a state 1,000 miles away, which you left years ago.

    10. Your children have plenty of other children to grow up with, who are all raised according to the same standard.

Response: You're right. That must be why a 5 year old had 19 bone breaks, 3 boys had their rectums damaged and a 13 year old girl showed physical evidence in an exam that she had already given birth...even though no baby was ever found for her. It must be that same standard they were all raised with.

"Why would you deny a woman her freedom to make such choices about her personal relationships?"

For the hundreth time, Duane, I don't give a rats behind what "personal relationships" consenting adults choose to be in. The FLDS or any other group is welcome to have a HUGE sex cult. They simply cannot bring children into the sex cult.

There is no freedom to abuse children in our country, and polygamy is abuse.

    ReplyDelete
  5. polygamy is abuse

Ok, I'm following you here on the "polygamy is abuse" stuff. You also say I don't give a rats behind what "personal relationships" consenting adults choose to be in.

Yeah mmmkay! So how do you distinguish the
"crime" of polygamy vs. a doood living with 2 babes, impregenating them and supporting the brood? Lets assume one of the "babes" also has a full or part time job, the other "babe" stays at home taking care of the rugrats at least till the doood and other babe get home from work. Is that the heinouos crime of "polygamy". Ok, they are atheists, I would bet you would be ok with that. Now lets say a couple of Mormon missionaries riding their bicycles decide to stop, knock on their door and 6 months later, they convert to Mormonism...would that then transform their relationship from "doood with 2 babes" to "evil polygamists"?? Does converting to Mormonism transform otherwise "normal" people to "evil child abusing, wife beating polygamist freaks"?

BTW, what is your take on independent fundie Mormon polygs who aren't members of the major polygamist sects a la big love? Are they just as "evil" as the FLDS, AUB, Cent Park, etc???

Also, do you watch "Big Love"? my wife and I like that show.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I don't watch Big Love, because I'm not 'in to' the media normalization of the cultural practice of polygamy.

I'm an Anti-polygamist, Duane, because if you legalize it for anyone, it must be legal for everyone, regardless of their particular religious affiliation. This would include known abusers, such as the FLDS polygamist sex cult.

I have little to say about Mormonism, except that in two Mormon controlled states, there is obvious government corruption to a practice, which is against Federal law.

These laws are designed to protect children from the known results of the criminal practice of polygamy, namely poverty, molestation and child brides, worldwide.

Back to what I've already explained, Duane. If you want to worship the socks on a low tree branch in your back yard, go for it. Get converts, have services, build a temple, ascribe all the power in the universe to the socks, even teach your children to love and worship the socks.

But the minute any adult tells a child to have sex because the socks demand it, game over.

That's what happens in polygamy, Duane. That's why we don't allow people in a civilized society to raise children to be intentional law breakers.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Duane . How come you keep coming up with hypothetical situations when the real life situations under discussion are so devastating.

In the face of such horrendous child abuse it is not very helpful or appropriate to keep trying to find fault with those that are trying to help these innocent ones.

Seriously Duane, you need to get your heart sorted out or alternately you could always ask Boots for one of those socks she talks about and "Put a sock in it " , lol.
